I just completed module 1 and took my own notes on paper and didn’t submit anything… just that I completed the module at the very bottom… However, it is not very clear if the system acknowledged my completion.

Just to make sure I understand this correctly. I am taking the Naturopathy Practitioner and at the end of module one I took the quiz. I have taken my own handwritten notes in a notebook and done the research for the first of the two exercises at the end. Do I have to have to type my exercise research to submit or is that considered extra work that is not required? In other words, can I mark myself complete if I do not submit my research?

The note box is optional for you to submit notes for later review.
Yes, you can “mark complete” to save your progress through each topic of the modules.
Please keep in mind that you need to pass the final exam with a minimum score of 80%. If you fail on your first attempt, the system will allow you to retake it until you succeed.

This is Luigi Morello from the Scholistico Support Team. I wanted to inform you that the exercise or quiz is not mandatory. However, it is a great opportunity for you to test the knowledge you have gained from the course material.
The final exam, on the other hand, is mandatory, and you must achieve a minimum score of 80% to pass. Please don’t worry if you do not pass on your first attempt, as the system allows you to retake the exam until you succeed.
